Online Only

Life doesn’t always slow down- we often have to intentionally create the space and time to pause and look inward at things we want to change. This is what therapy can be for you: pausing to make healthy and lasting changes in your life.

Sometimes, life demands that we stop and make a change. If you’ve experienced trauma of some kind that is not letting you live the way you wish or is severely impacting your relationships, parenting, or ability to experience peace, I would love to help you navigate this until you find a way to thrive. This is what therapy can be for you: moving from barely surviving life to learning what it means to thrive after trauma.

I hope to meet you in this healing process with warmth and some humor along the way. I want to create a space where you can show up authentically and where it feels safe to be vulnerable. I will always check in and ask for your feedback in this process, and making sure you feel heard and fully understood.

Top focuses: Trauma, EMDR, religious trauma, spiritual trauma and spiritual abuse.

Faith

I am Christian, and my faith has looked different in different seasons of life. I’ve learned that a relationship with God can evolve with us and teach us something new in every season. Faith depends on authenticity- only from there can connect with our spirituality in a real way.

As a therapist, I believe one of the most important pillars of faith is hope: hope that healing is always possible, hope that we can access joy after tragedy, hope that we do not stay at rock bottom but we can learn from it, hope that we are always in the process of growth and change and this process can be good.

If you are deconstructing and reconstructing your faith as you integrate your current beliefs into what you’ve known or believed – I would love to assist and support you in your process.

Family

I have been married to my best friend for over 10 years. He is a firefighter-paramedic with LAFD, so we have been living the unique life of being a first-responder family. He works 24-hour shifts (minimum) and it has led me to be drawn to wanting to help first-responder families in the context of therapy. It is a unique culture to exist within, and to raise children and attempt to have a strong marriage! It is possible, but not without the right tools and communication styles in place.

My husband and I are raising our two wonderful sons (currently 2 and 5 years old) and two sweet doggies (Lucy and Zahara).

Speaking

I have had the honor of speaking in my church (Refuge OC in Orange, CA) and have given sermons on multiple occasions. Most recently, I gave the Mother’s Day sermon this past May! I have been a guest speaker in college psychology classes. Additionally, I lead a yearly training for a group of 75 volunteers for Royal Family Kids Camp in Orange, teaching behavioral interventions for helping children ages 6-12 in foster care who have experienced abuse and trauma.
