In a broken world, everyone needs a safe place.

It is my passion to provide a confidential and empathetic environment in which we embark together on your journey towards growth and healing. Anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, as well as relational and career complications are very prevalent and difficult aspects of living. Though hard to detect, these painful circumstances also represent opportunities for growth and transformation.

As we partner to process the challenging, unfair parts of life, we will also work to develop personal tools to foster your own empowerment. At a pace in which you are comfortable, we will navigate the pains of the past, anxieties of the future, and present-day struggles together.

As your therapist, it is my job to support you. You are not alone. There is hope. I commend you for taking this initial step towards healing, and I look forward to meeting you right where you are.

Faith

As my childhood and teen years were filled with pain as well as maladaptive behaviors to avoid pain, it took me quite a long time to reconcile how a loving God allows and uses suffering. When I was able to work through my struggles with God-image and God-construct and fully surrender all of me to all of Him, I finally experienced freedom and peace beyond understanding. The past ten years of my life have been a journey of learning to trust Jesus and invite Him inside my inner brokenness. As He has brought forth healing in my life, I have been so blessed to serve people through crisis hotlines, women’s and children’s ministries, singing worship, and providing therapy to individuals and families who are hurting and in need of a safe space.

Family

I have such a strong appreciation for the importance of family. Though much of therapeutic work involves an individual bravely signing up for counseling sessions, one of the reasons our field is labeled marriage and family therapy is because the family or lack of family we have deeply impacts our personhood. I am continually reminded of this truth when I do what I love the most: spend time with my older siblings and my amazing nieces and nephews. Whether we are braving through the long lines at Disneyland, building forts made of pillows, or fighting over who gets the last slice of cake, I cannot help but be amazed at the resiliency of my family as we have survived parental abuse and the tragic loss of our brother.

We are a family that has learned to live with scars, to communicate through difficulties, to provide unconditional love, and to correct dysfunctional generational patterns. This, second only to the constant noise of laughter and banter, is what I love the most about my incredible family.
