Requirements
Who should apply
TPC is recruiting licensed and registered clinicians, including LMFTs and Registered Associate MFTs, with the education, credentials, skills, and faith alignment below.
Education and qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid California licensure or registration. TPC does not hire student trainees.
- Commitment to Christian faith integration and the values and ethics of a faith-based counseling environment.
- Ongoing continuing education, training, and professional development.
Associates must have completed their master's degree, be fully registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and have received a BBS registration number.

- Identify issues, form plans, and implement practical clinical solutions.

- Understand Christian doctrine and integrate Christian principles effectively.

What you will do
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy with Christian integration when appropriate.
- Assess client needs and progress through interviews and observation.
- Develop and update treatment plans using clinical judgment and Christian ethics.
- Follow up with clients and adjust care as needed.
- Participate in outreach that reflects TPC's Christian counseling mission.

Before you apply
Employment facts
We want candidates to understand the practical arrangement before investing time in an application.
- Therapist roles use a W-2 employee relationship.
- Candidates select at least 20 potential one-hour client blocks between 1 PM and 8 PM, Monday through Saturday.
- TPC-supervised associates attend Wednesday group supervision and the monthly in-person Fullerton staff meeting.
- Caseload development may take 3–12 months, and therapists participate in building their caseload.
- Therapists maintain professional liability coverage of $1 million/$1 million.
- TPC does not currently offer a retirement plan.
Compensation varies by role
Compensation depends on the position, credentials, relevant experience, and applicable clinical and service structure. TPC reviews the arrangement and applicable pay scale during the hiring process rather than presenting one universal therapist rate.
