Qualifications
Who should apply
- A completed qualifying graduate degree; TPC does not hire student trainees.
- A current California registration number as a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or another accepted associate credential.
- Ability to attend required supervision and staff meetings.
- Commitment to ethical, evidence-informed care in a Christian counseling environment.
Employment facts
- Therapist roles use a W-2 employee relationship.
- Candidates select at least 20 potential one-hour client blocks between 1 PM and 8 PM, Monday through Saturday.
- TPC-supervised associates attend Wednesday group supervision and the monthly in-person Fullerton staff meeting.
- Caseload development may take 3–12 months, and therapists participate in building their caseload.
- Therapists maintain professional liability coverage of $1 million/$1 million.
- TPC does not currently offer a retirement plan.
Compensation
Compensation varies by role, credentials, relevant experience, and the clinical and service structure applicable to the position. TPC explains the compensation arrangement and applicable pay scale during the hiring process.
Any individual job posting will include the approved pay information required for that opening. TPC does not use a single universal therapist rate.
