I am a strong believer in the saying “insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result”. This is why I’m committed to assisting in the process of self-discovery, healing and emotional growth. I am motivated to help heal wounds, rebuild trust and intimacy, and resolve conflict in a way that builds not destroys. I draw from my education but also from decades of experiences of burnt bridges and new beginnings but mostly the message of hope.

A SEASONED COUNSELOR
|
I have experience working with and being in the recovery world, including but not limited to drug, alcohol, pornography and sex addiction, anger and codependency. I facilitated a men’s codependent group for several years. I served as a lay church counselor prior to my formal training, providing counseling for men and married couples. I have worked with children of divorce who were experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral problems, single parents and blended families. My education has helped me but I have sought out additional training to assist individuals, young adults, and couples for various issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, and conflicts in relationships.

COMMITTED TO MINISTRY
|
I was raised Lutheran but walked away from God and the church in my early teens, I returned to a relationship with Jesus 20 years ago with a new understanding, commitment and passion and I have been committed ever since. I have been a member and serving in multiple facets of ministry and leadership, including but not limited to Lay counseling, Celebrate Recovery, Single Parent ministry, and Men’s ministry. I have been a small group leader and facilitator for divorce recovery, financial peace, and blended family ministries. After volunteering as security I was hired and have been on staff with a church for 3 years while completing my education.

COMMITTED TO FAMILY
|
I believe that great marriages and relationships don’t happen by luck or by accident, they are the result of a consistent investment of time, thoughtfulness, forgiveness, respect, and prayer and that any marriage can be saved. My parents were married over 60 years before my father passed; my sister just celebrated 50 years of marriage and my brother over 40. I have had the misfortune to personally witness and experience the trauma of divorce and its rippling effects on children, family, friends and everything it touches. This was a strong motivating factor for me changing careers at this stage in life, to advocate for reconciliation and restoration and mental health awareness and education. I am motivated to help heal wounds, rebuild trust and intimacy, and resolve conflict in a way that builds not destroys. I am a proud father of a wonderful 28-year-old son who is currently serving in the armed forces as a Navy Corpsman/Combat Medic stationed in Hawaii with his wife, who is also serving our country in the US Air Force. I am also a bonus dad to a 7 year old rescue Chow Chow mix named Sadie.

PRICING & INSURANCE
|
Gregory's standard rate is $200 per session. He offers a sliding scale where the price is based upon the client's monthly household net income so it can be lowered down if the client's income qualifies. Gregory is an out of network provider and does not directly bill insurance. He can provide clients with a superbill to submit for reimbursement through their insurance company.
