Dr. Harris sees her profession as a ministry and integrates her psychological training with the spiritual dimensions of people's lives. For two years, Cathryn served as Clinical Director of a day treatment center for the chronically mentally ill in association with Fuller Seminary. She has been Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at both Fuller Seminary School of Psychology and Rosemead School of Psychology, having taught courses in crisis intervention, severe mental illness, and basic counseling skills.

Dr. Harris has spoken at churches, schools, businesses, and other community gatherings on family issues and coping with stress and crisis. Cathryn is also specially trained in methods such as CISD and EMDR to help communities, schools and businesses in the event of catastrophic, life-threatening, or sudden death events.

Dr. Harris has written papers, seminars and workshops since the early 1980's for Church staff, teachers, administrators, counselors, professional business managers, high school students, and more.
