He truly enjoys working with family units, working from Structural Theory, but overall, he is rather eclectic in his theoretical orientation. He is also well prepared to work with church staff members and groups.  Tim’s desire is to serve God by helping clients strengthen their relationships with others, and in the process help them experience a healing relationship with God as well. These areas include but are not limited to the following areas:

The types of therapy include individual, family, and group therapy depending on the challenges at hand and the needs of the client.

A SEASONED COUNSELOR

Tim comes from a background of ministry; working with elementary age up through college.  He has spent 6 years in youth and family ministry and has enjoyed helping teens and their families discover effective ways of working through life’s difficulties.  In his traineeship, he served in a non-profit therapy center in Orange, counseling families, couples, individuals, adolescents and children.  Since graduation, Tim has gained experience working with at-risk children of broken homes, adults on parole, youth on probation, teens ticketed for shop-lifting or drug possession, adults dealing with alcoholism or drug addiction, and has provided ‘therapeutic supervised visitation’ for families going through custody battles.

COMMITTED TO MINISTRY

Tim used his training in ministry as a church worker in the Lutheran church from 1999 through 2005, after which he continued to use his gifts and talents as Worship Leader for one of the same churches.  Tim believes in a rich worship experience, and so from 2005 to present, he has designed worship services, organized team rehearsal, and led worship for the church.

PROFESSIONAL SPEAKER

During his ministry, Tim has had opportunity to speak to hundreds of youth and adults on the topics of faith, spiritual discipline, outreach, using our gifts, and worship.  As a therapist, Tim is expanding his topical coverage to include dating violence, and healing past hurts.

If you would like to schedule Tim as a guest speaker, please contact Frances J. Harvey at the Speakers Group for arrangements at 800-998-6329.

COMMITTED TO FAMILY

Tim has been married to his wife for 7 years. They have a daughter and a son. Tim loves to stay at home or go out with his family and spend as much time at Disneyland together as they can.  He loves music, playing guitar, bass guitar, or trumpet, as well as singing, either at church as worship enhancement, or at home to put his 2 year old to sleep.
