Dr. Grimes has completed over 4,000 hours of training in providing psychological services to a wide variety of issues and populations. Some of the training experiences included providing treatment and services to sexually abused children and the non-offending parent(s), offering psychological services within a community based clinic, and leading a dual diagnosis group. He has also completed numerous courses in his education designed specifically for treating children, adolescents, families, and individuals.
A Life-time in Ministry
Dr. Grimes is committed to ministry. He has been a member of his church for over 15 years where he has participated in and led numerous activities. He has led and been a part of small groups for the past 10 years, been a captain of and led a Sunday morning servant team for the past five years, and has volunteered in the children’s ministry for almost 6 years. Dr. Grimes has been involved in and led several summer mission trips to the Philippines and Hungary and has journeyed down to Xoacaca, Mexico on several instances to assist with building an orphanage and leading children’s bible studies.
As a professional speaker, Dr. Grimes can address topics that may be pertinent to issues you or your churches are facing. These areas include spiritual development throughout the life stages, attachment and its impact on parenting and relationships, emotional development, communication, parenting, and others.
Committed to his family
Dr. Grimes is committed to his wife of 6 years and his two daughters, ages 3 and 1. He relishes spending time investing in his relationship with his wife through regular date nights as well as in continuous dialogue around how they are growing, struggling, and succeeding in their life endeavors. Furthermore, he and his wife enjoy pouring time and energy into their two daughters by spending regular time with them playing and encouraging their imagination. They also devote individual time with each of the girls in order to foster and build strong lasting relationships with them. His hobbies include reading, woodworking, soccer, going to movies, and spending time with friends.
