Areas of Special Focus : Ernesto specializes in treating relational issues in individuals, marriages and families and is experienced in working with adolescent at-risk individuals who have an array of emotional and behavioral problems. He also works with the adolescent population who are on probation due to criminal and other disruptive behaviors. In addition, Ernesto treats families and individuals who are victims of domestic violence, physical, sexual and emotional abuse. Ernesto is trained in treating individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress and spiritual issues. With this experience, Ernesto is a great resource for the adolescent population, individuals, family and parents/caregivers. Professionally Trained Registered MFT Intern Ernesto’s career started as a counselor working with adolescent males who were placed with the Department of Children’s and Family Services (DCFS) due to history of abuse and neglect. He also provided individual and family counseling to women and their children victims of domestic violence, and has provided mental health services to at-risk adolescent males with behavioral issues and criminal history. Committed To Ministry Ernesto is committed to Ocean View Baptist Church in San Pedro and enjoys serving the Lord through their music ministry and teaching. Ernesto also attends weekly Bible study/small groups and Sunday school. Ernesto has conducted various classes and seminar concerning Christian counseling. He has held seminars on topics relating to parenting, relationships, and integration of psychology and Christianity. Ernesto also taught psychology and spiritual counseling to college students and Christian pastors in the Philippines. Committed to his family Ernesto is blessed to have a loving and supportive family. In fact, he credits they way he approach counseling not only to his formal education and relationship with God, but also from the love and compassion he receives from his family. |
