Clarissa has a heart for working with couples, individuals and families. She especially emphasizes how scripture teaches us that God has created us with a need for a relationship not only with Him, but also with others. She encourages spiritual and emotional growth by assisting clients in finding healing and hope through healthy relationships between spouses, family members and friends. She has worked with clients facing a variety of issues such as but not limited to: marital discord, affair recovery, anger, fear, depression, anxiety, low self image, and isolation. A SEASONED COUNSELOR
Clarissa began her experience in 2005 counseling clients in a variety of settings including University Practicum Clinics, Career Services, and a Private Christian Counseling Center. She has also helped facilitate support groups for married couples, singles and those recovering from divorce. She has been trained in Intimacy Therapy which is an approach to counseling based on teachings in scripture on how we can find healing through our God-given relationships with others. Clarissa believes that counseling is a ministry and that Christian counselors are used by God to help bring healing to those who are hurting.
COMMITTED TO MINISTRY
Clarissa accepted Christ as her personal savior in 1993. She has been involved in a variety of ministries for the majority of her Christian life including worship team, choirs, dance ministry, and youth ministry. She faithfully attends weekly worship services and mid-week bible study as she values the importance of being plugged into the body of Christ. She believes that in order to personally grow, we must constantly seek more ways to draw closer to God and His people through dedicated service.
A PROFESSIONAL SPEAKER
Clarissa's speaking interests include sharing with others practical ways that we can live out Matt 22:39 to “...love your neighbor as yourself” as God's design for healthy relationships in marriage, family and friendships.

COMMITTED TO FAMILY
Clarissa has been married since 2001 and has one daughter. She and her husband are natives of Texas and moved to California in 2007 when her husband accepted a faculty position at major a Christian University. They are both committed to maintaining a marriage and a household built on a foundation of Godly values. They also value cultural diversity and seek to maintain friendships with people of a variety of cultural backgrounds to reinforce the understanding that we are all the same in God's eyes.
