A Seasoned Counselor

Before coming to Turning Point Counseling, Judy counseled at the Salvation Army Family Rehabilitation Center in Anaheim, and at Hope Counseling Center located on the campus of Hope International University. As a Christian therapist, Judy believes that Christ is the ultimate healer. She integrates prayer and scripture into the therapeutic process. Judy utilizes a Family Systems approach in her treatment, which allows people to identify dysfunctional family patterns, freeing people to establish and choose patterns that will bring about healthier relationships. Judy believes that Christ uses every problem to bring one closer to Him.

Committed to Ministry

Judy was raised in the Catholic faith and received Christ at the age of 27.  Since that time, Judy has found deep growth in Christ through the study of His Word. She is a firm believer in prayer and has hosted numerous prayer groups in her home with the belief that prayer really does change things, especially the one who prays.  She has a passion to lead others into a deeper relationship with Christ through the study and application of the Scriptures in daily life.

Judy is a member of her church, the First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton, CA.  As a member since 1981, she has served as a Lay Counselor, choir member, and has participated in Women's Bible Studies.  Last summer Judy taught a bible study on ‘The Names of God’ “which has revolutionized my prayer life.”
