I put off getting help for my marriage for YEARS! When I was ready, he wasn't. When he wanted to go, I didn't. I always thought you both have to want the marriage to work for counseling to do any good. Then I heard that one person can make a difference in a relationship. I was skeptical but I gave it a shot. I learned that while I can't change my husband's behavior, I could change how I respond to his behavior and that's where you were such a big help. I can't tell you how frustrated we were with our teenage son. We lost total control! We had done so well with him when he was younger, but now he was completely different.
