Susie’s interest is assisting families with relationships and interpersonal communication. Her special areas are working with children and adolescents relating to behavior, emotional, social, and academic issues, pre-marital counseling, work-related stress/injury, and grief.
Susie provides assessments for pre-marital counseling and focuses on creating a safe environment assisting couples to achieve their goals before their wedding date. In her approach, she utilizes a Christ centered approach providing empathy, understanding, and authenticity helping people with personal and relationship growth.
Susie works directly with individuals related to physical or work-related stress injuries and provides psychological evaluations and treatments to employees empowering them to return to preinjury function.
Susie is certified to help children through their traumatic grief and utilizes trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and direct/indirect play therapy.

A SEASONED COUNSELOR
Susie’s experience working with children and adolescents provided a therapeutic safe environment specializing in anxiety, depression, behavioral, social, emotional, and academic issues, response to crisis, and grief. She provided empowerment to adolescents to making a change towards a healthy lifestyle along with teaching them healthier coping skills to control their distress and manage symptoms of anxiety. Susie has extensive knowledge and experience with Play Therapy, direct and indirect approach, with assisting young children to express their thoughts and feelings.
COMMITTED TO MINISTRY
Susie, was raised in the Coptic Orthodox Church, currently attends St. Verena and The Three Holy Youth in Orange, CA. She serves as a Preschool Sunday School Teacher providing Biblical lesson stories, crafts and songs. Susie developed and implemented the High School Youth Spiritual Connection program planning monthly meetings at various venues to engage youth to bond and spend healthy quality time together. She empowers the youth to develop social skills, problem solving skills, and resolve conflicts.
A PROFESSIONAL SPEAKER
Through her counseling experience, Susie is available to provide training on topics related to parenting skills, boundaries, behavior modification management, cyber and traditional bullying, and technology’s effect on today’s adolescents. She is available to provide workshops to local churches and small groups.
COMMITTED TO FAMILY
Susie has been married for 26 years and has three children, two sons, and one daughter. Raising her children has been a lifelong commitment focusing on instilling values, morals, and the importance of respect to others. Her older son is attending law school in Washington D.C., her daughter completed her Communications/Public Relations degree this year, and her youngest son is a senior in high school playing in the Church Basketball League and an ASB representative. Susie and her husband enjoy spending time together hiking, traveling, reading, serving the youth at church, and engage in social activities with friends and family members. She assists taking care of her elderly mother and provides transportation to ensure she attends Sunday liturgy and partakes in the Eucharist.
