What is the difference between a Licensed and Pre-Licensed Therapist?
The interns at Turning Point Counseling are Master's level therapists, fulling trained, experienced professionals before they are hired. They go through an extensive hiring process and are fully able to provide the services that we offer. Several of the TPC Pre-licensed therapists have most of their required hours.
Interns are a vital part in the mental health community. Under weekly supervision, they provide Professional psycho-therapeutic services for individuals, couples, and families in need of counseling at lower fees. Marriage and Family Therapists interns are required to obtain 3,000 hours of supervised training before being eligible to take the state exam.
