From the CEO
By Dr. Peter Robbins

Did you know you’re in competition? It’s the one that we all battle each day of our life…spiritual warfare! We are in a battle and it continues to press in our daily lives. Satan is after us in so many ways - in our relationships, workplace, parenting, finances, and decision making. The first sign of this is our increasing selfishness. Satan wants us to forsake all others and think of self, God wants us to lose ourselves in serving others. It’s a tough tug-o-war, and to win we need others to help us pull the rope. That is why …

WHOSE FAULT IS IT - MINE OR YOURS?
The 'Hot Potato' of Blame in Your Marriage
Facts and Fallacies of Intimacy: Part 2

By Dr. Kevin Downing

The word ‘fault’ belongs to the family of what we call ‘black and white’ language. ‘Fault’ is a cousin to ‘you always’ and ‘you never’. Rarely are ‘black and white’ statements true - especially when we try to assign ‘fault’ or ‘blame’ in marriage. You often see it in children who keep egging each other on. They fan the flames of …

WHY SHOULD YOU GET OUT OF DEBT!
By Bob Lotich

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE IN DEBT

I always thought that debt was just a way of life. I accepted the fact that I would always have a car payment. Everyone has credit cards, so I just assumed if everyone was doing it, it was okay.
Then something changed. I decided that rather than always having a car payment, I wanted to never take out a loan on a car again. Sure, in the short term I might not be able to drive the car of my dreams, but what I found was that the little sacrifice has been and will continue to yield tremendous fruit.

By Bob Lotich

Each one of the sheets below are free and are designed to be used with Excel, but will more than likely work if you use OpenOffice (basically a free version of Microsoft Office). Some may also work with Google Docs, but I have had bad luck with some of my imports into Google Docs.

Each of the budgeting sheets below have their own strengths and weaknesses, so try them out, see what works, and make tweaks...

By Jack Guttentag,

Bargaining power is the power to influence the terms of the transaction by threatening not to do it. The bargaining power of borrowers is inseparable from the knowledge that they have it and their willingness to use it. Borrowers entering transactions with the mindset of petitioners seeking favors are not aware of having bargaining power, and as a result do not have any. They have potential bargaining power, which does them no good.

The potential bargaining power of borrowers is greatest on a refinance, because typically they have no time limit on when the money is needed. This usually means that they can …

SERVANT QUARTERS

PRAYER by Gayle Erwin - Pastor, Author, Editor

Many times, the subject of prayer is made attractive by describing its power and Biblical basis, while, at the same time, it is made unavailable by the approach taught. For instance: "For power in prayer, one hour is the minimum!" "For power in prayer, physical discomfort is...
