Debt Free Christian continues to touch lives and provide a way out for those who have lost hope due to the crushing weight of credit card debt. Last month alone, over 80 families started their journey back to sound financial stewardship. Our counselors speak with folks from around the country and give Biblical counsel regarding budgeting, saving strategies, and improving their tithe. In June alone, we spoke to over 800 families and provided educational counseling based on Biblical principles of financial stewardship. In all, over 3,300 families enjoy the comfort of being guided, monthly, toward becoming Debt Free. We ask for your prayers for our team and these families. Turning Point Counseling has added yet another church satellite location in the Santa Clarita area in Valencia, CA. TPC has also added a new Licensed MFT in the Glendora and Diamond Bar area. So we continue to grow in giving Tender Help for Tough Problems. Last month we were privileged to see God work in the Healing and Forgiveness Seminar that John Del Grosso, Licensed MFT presented in the Covina area. This month we are excited to offer an 8 week course in Parenting by TPC Counselor Susan Jarrett, M.Ed., MFT Intern. Susan has many years of experience in the area of counseling parents of out-of-control kids as she practiced in the state of PA (a Licensed MFT for PA) for over 8 years. Turning Point Mortgage stands ready to help those who are being served by the Turning Point Ministry Group. At a time when adjustable mortgage rates are beginning to rise, refinancing to a more stable fixed rate mortgage becomes a wise option for many. At times, a debt management program is not an answer. Some folks who seek out Debt Free Christian do not qualify and yet struggle with making their monthly payments. While refinancing to include credit card debt is often not the best option and not advised, it can become the only option for some. Pray for wisdom as we approach each need with the appropriate answer.
